The online search capability allows instantaneous access to all vehicle data, by either a specific vehicle stock number, or by searching the entire inventory file to find those vehicles that match the customer's specified criteria. For example, a salesperson can quickly tell a customer if there are any new Corvettes, two-door, air conditioned vehicles on the lot. The pricing function guides the salesperson in entering all of the necessary information to price a vehicle, and then calculates the total price, as well as the cost.
